What should I do before moving day?
A practical preparation plan for paperwork, packing and access.
Confirm the plan
Confirm the inventory, pickup and delivery arrangements, building access and included services with the mover. Reserve elevators or loading space where required. Arrange utility start and stop dates and flag any changes to the move before the truck arrives.
Keep essentials with you
Set aside medications, documents, keys, chargers and essentials for your first night. Label boxes by room and record fragile items. Make a separate plan for children and pets, and keep contact details and moving paperwork accessible during the trip.
